Bridging HMT Tokens Between Ethereum and HyperEVM#

At HUMAN, HMT can be transferred between Ethereum and HyperEVM through Stargate Finance. Stargate uses LayerZero messaging to move supported assets across chains with a simple approval and transfer flow.

What is Stargate Finance?#

Stargate Finance is a cross-chain bridge built on LayerZero. It lets users transfer supported tokens between blockchains from a single interface while showing the estimated fee, route, and transfer time before submission.

Steps to Bridge Tokens#

  1. Go to the official Stargate Finance app.
  2. Connect your wallet and make sure it is set to the Ethereum network.
  3. In the source token selector, search for HMT and choose HMT on Ethereum.

  4. In the destination token selector, choose HMT on HyperEVM. You can verify token addresses here.

  5. Enter the amount of HMT you want to bridge. Stargate will show the destination amount, route, estimated fee, and estimated time.

  6. Review the route details. In the example flow, Stargate uses the OFT route and shows an estimated completion time of about 51 seconds.

  7. Click Transfer. If HMT has not been approved before, Stargate first asks for an approval transaction.

  8. Confirm the Approve transaction in your wallet. This allows Stargate to spend the selected amount of HMT on Ethereum.

  9. After the approval is mined, click Transfer again if needed, then confirm the bridge transaction in your wallet.

  10. Wait for the transaction to be processed. Your wallet activity should show a transfer from Ethereum -> HyperEVM.

  11. Open the transfer in LayerZero Scan to monitor message status. The transaction may appear as InFlight before the destination leg is finalized.

  12. Once the transfer completes, you will see the status completed.

Important Considerations#

  • Ethereum gas fees: You need ETH on Ethereum to pay for the approval transaction and the bridge transaction.
  • HyperEVM destination gas: Stargate may show a Gas on destination option to cover the transaction execution on HyperEVM that completes the transfer. Review it before submitting.
  • Bridge fee and slippage tolerance: Stargate displays the total fee and fee tolerance before transfer confirmation.
  • Transfer time: In the example flow, the estimated completion time is roughly 51 seconds, but actual timing depends on network conditions.
  • Address checks: If you use the Custom Address option, verify the destination address carefully before sending tokens.
